1. Save the registration code as soon as you submit

The Vietnam Embassy in India explicitly says the registration code must be saved in order to check and print the e‑Visa result.

Treat that code like an important booking reference. Keep it somewhere accessible to the traveller and, if using assistance, to the authorised person managing the application.

Do not rely on memory or screenshots alone

Store the registration code in a secure, searchable place along with the application email and traveller name.

2. Use the official e‑Visa status search

The official e‑Visa search page is at evisa.gov.vn/e-visa/search. The search form currently asks for the e‑Visa application number, email and date of birth, plus a security code.

Use the same details that were entered with the application. If a search fails, first check for typing differences before assuming the application has disappeared.

  • Open the official search page.
  • Enter the application / registration number.
  • Enter the application email.
  • Enter the traveller's date of birth.
  • Complete the security code and search.
Official support

For application-specific enquiries, the Embassy directs travellers to the Immigration Department's e‑Visa support channels rather than claiming the Embassy can alter an e‑Visa.

3. Do not depend only on an email notification

The Embassy in India currently states that no email will be sent regarding e‑Visa results. The official e‑Visa homepage also provides an online result route.

The safest customer habit is therefore active checking: keep the application details and use the official search page rather than assuming silence means the application is still pending.

Practical rule

Check the official status page proactively as your travel date approaches. Do not let an inbox become your only status system.

4. Approval is not the end of the checking process

Once the e‑Visa result is available, verify the document before travel. Compare the traveller's name and passport number with the passport, check the approved validity dates, and confirm the entry type suits the itinerary.

Current Embassy guidance says e‑Visa holders must present the printed e‑Visa and valid passport at the checkpoint. Prepare the printed travel copy before departure.

  • Name and passport number match.
  • Validity start and end dates cover the intended trip.
  • Single or multiple entry matches the actual itinerary.
  • Traveller has the valid passport and printed e‑Visa ready for travel.

5. What if something looks wrong on the issued e‑Visa?

Do not assume a visible error will fix itself at the airport. The Embassy's e‑Visa page says the Embassy cannot approve, issue, correct, modify or amend an e‑Visa and directs applicants to Immigration Department support channels for those requests.

That is another reason to check the result early enough to seek official guidance if something is wrong.

Vietnam Experts cannot alter an issued government visa

Metro-focused guidance

Checking a Vietnam e‑Visa result from major Indian cities

Status checking is digital and national; there is no separate Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru result system.

Delhi NCR

Check the result before leaving for the airport; do not plan to resolve a document mismatch at departure.

Mumbai / MMR

Save the registration code outside the email inbox so it is easy to retrieve when checking status.

Bengaluru

Use the official search page proactively instead of waiting only for a notification.

Chennai

Print and verify the e‑Visa before travel rather than relying only on a phone copy.

Kolkata

If an issued detail is wrong, follow the Immigration Department support route early.

Jaipur

If connecting through another Indian city, complete the visa-result check before starting the international journey.

Pune

Keep the application email and registration code together for quick status checks.

Ahmedabad

Recheck validity dates and entry type against the final itinerary after approval.

Status unclear or travel date getting close?

Send our Visa Desk your travel date and explain what you are seeing on the official status page. We can guide the next practical step without claiming control over the government result.
